What is X2 Visa?
The X2 visa is a type of Entry visa that is issued to foreign nationals who are the spouses or children of persons of Indian Origin or OCI cardholders. This visa is a type of long-term visa that allows multiple entries to India, and there is no need to get a separate visa for work or tourism. The only people eligible are the foreign spouses or foreign citizens of Indian citizens, OCI cardholders, or PIO cardholders. The validity of this X2 visa is generally up to 5 years, and you can get multiple entries within that period.
There is no stay limit on this visa; you can stay as long as your visa is valid. Employment is not permitted on X2 visas; however, you can apply after 2 years of marriage. The education on this visa for the students is allowed up to class 12, but for college/university, a student visa is needed. You can also convert your X2 visa into other visa categories, like a work visa or student visa, after approval from the Ministry of Home Affairs.
