If you want to apply for a change or correction in PAN, you can select from two websites, which are the UTIITSL and the NSDL websites. For the update and changes in PAN, you will need to submit all the supporting documents for which you need to gather before you apply for the PAN card application. You need to pay the required amount of fees for correction in your PAN card online, and the normal process time to get your updated PAN card is about 15-20 days.</span></p> <p> </p>
<p><span>Here is the simple process which I have used to update details in my PAN card for the incorrect name on my PAN card. Frist I visited the official website of the UTIITSL portal, then clicked on the Changes and correction in PAN data under the apply option, ten by entering the PAN number, and selecting PAN card I clicked on next and submitted my application after that I get an reference number and after filled our all the data which need to be updated or corrected, then by entering the PAN number and verification with Aadhaar card, through E-KYC, I got my updated PAN card in just 15-20 days. </span></p>
<p><span>I got my name misspelled on my PAN card, so I have applied for changes or corrections in my PAN card application through the NSDL website by going to the NSDL website, choosing the service ‘Changes, or corrections in PAN data, and filling in all the updated information for my PAN card, like name, address, and date of birth. Then I have submitted all the supporting documents for my PAN card application changes and corrections, and paid online fees for my application. Then after successfully validating my information through the Aadhar card by entering the OTP sent on my registered mobile number, I got mt 15-digit acknowledgement number, through which I can track the status of my application.</span></p> <p> </p>
Wrong spelling in your PAN card means you may also have another document, like your Aadhaar or voter ID card, that has the wrong spelling. So, firstly, correct your spelling on the Aadhaar card if that's possible, and then apply for PAN name correction to avoid further issues.

Make sure that the name is correct on the supporting document you are submitting and want on your PAN card. Just provide some valid ID proof that contains your correct name, and the correction will be done easily.
In case you are not comfortable with the online process, you can apply offline as well. You can visit any nearest PAN card center with the valid documents and fill out an application form for the name correction and get it rectified there. In case you are changing your name due to marriage or any other legal reasons, then you may have to submit other supporting documents as well. So, do verify what is required before visiting the center.
