Yes, NRIs can avail of a tax deduction for their NPS contributions. Like Indian citizens, they also enjoy the benefits of NPS schemes, and they can only contribute to the NPS tier 2 account, which allows NRIs to contribute to NPS. For this, NRIs have to meet the criteria and eligibility to open an NPS account.
